These stone cottages have been lovingly converted from an old barn and now make an ideal base for a quiet or busy holiday. Set in 80 acres of farm and woodland, adjoining the bank of Loch Fyne with its beach's and beautiful scenery. The peace and quiet will make you forget any stresses and strains of ordinary life. Just 2 minutes drive or 15 minutes walk through the woods, is the bustling fishing village of Tarbert. With shops and restaurants around the harbour and all manner of craft afloat, it makes a picturesque scene to enjoy. Also catering for all your souvenirs and social needs.

During the summer the 'Waverley', the last ocean going paddle steamer visits and the Portavadie ferry runs to the opposite side of the Loch. Also within easy distance are the ferries to Arran, Islay, Jura and the small island of Gigha. With the glorious scenery of the Mull of Kintyre peninsula to the south, there are many places to visit. Many outdoor persuits are catered for within the area, including pony trekking, fishing, boat trips and golf. As well as wonderful opportunities for bird watching, photography and hill walking. Alternatively, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of Barfad, wander the woods and discover the varied wildlife including deer, buzzards and many unusual plants.
