Scotland is popular with golfers, and the area surrounding Tarbert is full of great golf courses, some short, some long and some very challenging indeed.

Tarbert has a 9 hole golf course set into the hills just south of the village with superb views across West Loch Tarbert (Loch Fyne) and offers a short but fun golfing experience, there are also no bunkers on the course which some players will find helpful.

North of Tarbert you have Lochgilphead and Inveraray golf courses within 45 minutes drive, across Loch Fyne there are Cowal Golf Club and Kames Golf Club within 1 hour including ferry travel, and south of Tarbert you have Carradale Golf Club, Dunaverty, Machrihanish Dunes and the most famous of all in the area Old Machrihanish Golf Club - the course of choice.

That's not all! Heading out to the islands particularly Arran and Gigha you will find additional golf courses once again within about an hour from Tarbert.

Tarbert is perfectly positioned for you to access most of the local courses scattered throughout Argyll, so pack your clubs and head on to Tarbert to play some golf.
