Summer Hots Up

Expect The Unexpected

Tarbert is unpredictable when it comes to weather, partly because of its location between two sections of water and also the hills that enclose its position.

It can be raining all across the UK, in Lochgilphead and Campbeltown, yet it has known to be sunny here in Tarbert, it's quite astonishing.

Good Spells Of Weather

On occasion we experience disappointing summers, although good spells are found during April, May, June, July and August and often the later months of September and October can offer some of the best sunshine periods extending to weeks.

How Has 2010 Started?

It's been a cold winter, and a long winter. Flowers are late to open and grow this year, the hills to forever to green up, but once spring began, we saw changes with sunny spells and whats been quite a dry period as far as Scotland is concerned.

For the last number of years we certainly havn't had to water the plants in the garden, that's how dry it has been here!

Hot Stuff

We are now in June and we have had several cracking periods of sunshine and over the last few weeks we have really felt the temperature of the sunshine, there is a nice gentle cooling breeze but the summer sunshine for the last few days has been morning to evening and cloudless skies - simply stunning.

Join Us This Summer

When the weather is as it is now, Scotland is a simply stunning country - so green, the lochs become greeny blue, and people are smiling and happy. Tarbert is stunning in the summer, and looking good just now, fingers crossed for a good summer and we hope to see you in the village this year.
