Tarbert Ferries

Ferry To Portavadie

A car and passenger ferry leaves from the village of Tarbert to Portavadie and returns with departures at each side every hour (summer) and only interrupted by a single journey to Arran (winter).

The ferry is located along pier road, follow the road around Tarbert harbour just past Tarbert Loch Fyne Yacht Club.

It is unusual for the ferry to be fully booked for cars, however during the peak season it may be advisable to book in advance.

Ferry To Islay

The Tarbert Ferry to Islay leaves from Kennacraig on a daily basis with a new ferry just about to be introduced (June 2011). The large car and passenger ferry runs on a daily basis and is a popular ferry service with commercial vehicles and visitors to the island.

We would recommend booking for this ferry during peak season.
